Age and Eligibility

The Gossip Effect™ is a general-audience website. It is not designed or directed specifically toward children under 13 years of age.

A parent or guardian who purchases an age-appropriate digital product for a minor may allow that minor to use the product for personal purposes within the purchaser’s household.

Purchases and Payments

Some products may be purchased directly from The Gossip Effect™, while others may be sold through Amazon, publishers, bookstores, print-on-demand providers, or other third-party retailers.

For purchases made directly from us, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and billing information.

Prices, descriptions, availability, and promotional offers may change from time to time.

We reserve the right to:

  • Correct pricing, description, or availability errors

  • Limit or refuse orders where reasonably necessary

  • Cancel and refund an order affected by an obvious technical or pricing error

  • Discontinue a product or offering

  • Request additional information when reasonably necessary to process a transaction or prevent fraud

Payments may be processed by independent third-party payment providers. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

A parent or legal guardian must make or authorize a direct purchase on behalf of a purchaser who is not legally able to enter into the transaction independently.

Purchases Through Third-Party Retailers

Purchases made through Amazon, a publisher, bookstore, print-on-demand provider, app store, or other third-party retailer are governed by that retailer’s:

  • Terms of use

  • Purchasing requirements

  • Payment procedures

  • Shipping policies

  • Return and refund policies

  • Customer-service processes

We do not control and are not responsible for a third-party retailer’s payment processing, order fulfillment, shipping, delivery, cancellation, return, or refund decisions.

Please contact the applicable retailer directly regarding an order placed through its platform.

Digital Products and Refunds

Because digital products can generally be accessed, copied, or downloaded immediately, purchases of digital products made directly from us are ordinarily final and nonrefundable once the product has been delivered, accessed, or downloaded.

This policy applies except:

  • Where a refund is required by applicable law

  • Where the applicable product page expressly provides otherwise

  • Where the purchaser was charged more than once for the same purchase

  • Where we are unable to provide the purchased product

  • Where the file is materially defective and we are unable to provide a working replacement

A change of mind, failure to use the product, accidental purchase, or incompatibility caused by the purchaser’s device or software will not ordinarily qualify for a refund.

If you experience a technical problem, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide access, replace a corrupted file, or otherwise resolve the issue.

We’re human over here. If something goes wrong technically, we’ll do our best to help.

Physical Products

The refund, exchange, cancellation, shipping, and delivery policies for physical products will depend on where the purchase was made.

Physical products purchased from a third-party retailer are subject to that retailer’s policies.

Any physical products purchased directly from The Gossip Effect™ will be subject to the policies displayed at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions and Recurring Payments

We may offer paid subscriptions, memberships, recurring services, or automatically renewing products in the future.

When a recurring offering is available, the price, renewal frequency, cancellation method, and other material terms will be disclosed before the purchase is completed.

By enrolling in a recurring offering, the purchaser authorizes the applicable payment provider to charge the selected payment method according to the disclosed renewal schedule until cancellation.

Cancellation instructions will be provided with the applicable offering. Cancellation will take effect as explained at the time of purchase and will not ordinarily result in a refund for a period that has already begun, except where required by law.

Email Communications

When you subscribe, download certain resources, make a purchase, or otherwise request communications, you may receive emails from us.

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in the message.

Unsubscribing from promotional emails will not prevent us from sending necessary transactional or administrative communications relating to a purchase, request, submission, event, or account.

Story Submissions, Photographs, and Other Materials

You retain ownership of original stories, photographs, testimonials, comments, or other materials you submit to us unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
